THINK Reference Basics
THINK Reference Basics
There are two ways to go to a page in the THINK Reference databases. The
easiest is to click a hyperlink to it. Most underlined words are hyperlinks.
You can be sure a word is a hyperlink if the cursor changes to a magnifying
glass () when it's over the word. For example, click this:
Underlined Word.
You can also type the name of the topic and press Return. This is called
Speed Search. What you type appears in the Speed Search field, the
left-hand box above. If THINK Reference can find a hyperlink on the page
that matches what you've typed, THINK Reference selects it. For example,
type “X press” and press Return.
If THINK Reference can't find a hyperlink on this page that matches what
you've typed, THINK Reference puts the name of the first page that matches
it in the Page Title field, the right-hand box above. For example, type “Xtra”
and press Return.
If you click a hyperlink that THINK Reference can't find the page for, it
displays this dialog:
Usually, you see this dialog only if you didn't install all the databases that
THINK Reference expects to find. However, if you installed all the databases
and still see this dialog, call Symantec Technical Support to report the
problem. The “Customer Support” chapter in the beginning of your User
Manual explains how to contact Technical Support.
